They are willing to invest in the property to bring it to the next level!īut what they don’t know right now after only a month of ownership is… what exactly that next level will be! Maybe an acoustic musician in the main bar area, or a DJ.Ī third aspect I heard from Bob for the Glassboro property is…. The Ciconte team has done VERY well with their other brands, Cinder Bar and the Village Pub… where you, your friends, your family… can all come in for a delicious meal, a cold beer, and an exciting game on the TV!Īnd of course entertainment could eventually be in the mix for the weekends… it just won’t be the separate wilder nightclub scene. Which leads us to one aspect of the overall theme… he wants Landmark Glassboro to be known only as a family and friends oriented restaurant and bar. One leading idea is to leave that third bar in the space and use it as a private event area… and on nights when the restaurant is really crowded they could seat guests there. So absolutely Bob plans on utilizing the former nightclub space as part of the larger restaurant offerings but he’s just not 100% set on what the full plan is just yet. It was located under the same roof but the way things were configured it was almost like a separate property. If you weren’t aware, in the large building there was a separate nightclub area off to the right. Well Bob explains that since it’s only been about a month or so since they took over Landmark Glassboro, they are still learning everything about the place, figuring what works… and what needs attention.īut there a few things they are certain about…įirst, the separate Nightclub section of the property will not return. Of course the first question about the new property in the Ciconte portfolio has to be “so what are you plans for Landmark Americana Glassboro?” We had known that Ciconte’s deal for the Landmark Glassboro location was in process for a few months now, but it was only just yesterday when we had a chance to talk to Bob Ciconte about the new addition to his growing restaurant family. The Ciconte’s Group were able to take over ownership of the license and full bar property. In the fall of 2020, an ABC ruling required the former owners to sell the Glassboro liquor license within 2 years. With the growth of the Rowan Boulevard district and other University buildings over the years, Landmark now seems to be as much a part of the University complex as it is the Delsea Drive commercial corridor! Landmark Americana Glassboro is a large multifaceted restaurant & bar located at 1 Mullica Hill Road, where 322 meets Delsea Drive. Landmark Americana Glassboro near Rowan University – Now part of the Ciconte’s Restaurant Group! Landmark Americana Glassboro : What’s Next? … and the Ciconte’s Group plan on upgrading the property over time, focusing on the business model that they know best family and friends oriented restaurants serving innovative food and interesting beverages.Īnd while they haven’t updated their online presence to show off their new property, they do reference Landmark Glassboro in a Ciconte’s Marketing Specialist job posting. To be very clear, only the Glassboro location of Landmark Americana has moved over to the Ciconte family of restaurants…. The ownership of the Glassboro Landmark is in partnership with Tony Stavola who previously had developed a large South Jersey food distribution business bearing his name, which after selling the business joined up with the Ciconte’s on several projects such as the Cinder Bars! Yesterday 42Freeway spoke directly with founder Bob Ciconte about this new addition to the growing empire… with the deal being finalized just last month (November 2021). Glassboro’s Landmark Americana Restaurant has new owners… the Ciconte’s Restaurant Group! Yes, the new owners are the same folks who operate the Cinder Bar and Village Pub locations in Gloucester County! So what is in store for Glassboro?

Things like marriages and mortgages (ink stains and rocks and ivy) can strain relationships over time because being with that person is no longer strictly voluntary. Both the author and Zhivago had commitments. The point is that they couldn't be together, not why. The reasons differ between a train hopping hobo (which the author was not but it was cool to be in the early 60s) and two seperated and cant find eachother because of the Russian Revolution, for why they couldn't be together. As Hartman said, he wrote this after seeing Dr. She doesn't have to be real but I believe she is. believe that your thoughts are closest to the songs meaning the way I see it. And now Glen Campbell is fading away, having just released what he says is his last album, given his failing health (Alzheimers). But as somebody told me at the time, those of us that know him appreciate what he did, and that's enough. John Hartford died a few years ago, and I still think it's a crime that he got so little recognition for his musical contributions. When he was finished, she was in tears, and said it was the prettiest thing she had ever heard, or words to that effect. Someplace I read that, shortly after he first wrote it, a female friend visited them, and his wife suggested he play it for her. I can't see how they connect, but that's how things go. Hartford says he wrote it in about 15 minutes, after seeing the movie "Doctor Zhivago", which triggered some memories for him. It seems to be about a hippie and his one true love (wherever she is). It was written by John Hartford, one of the most amazing musicians this country has ever produced. Postharvest, food waste is the single largest component of municipal solid waste making landfills the third largest source of methane in the country (Gunders). The utilization of resources is not the only emitter of greenhouse gas emissions, pertaining to food waste, but also the decomposition of it makes substantial damage to the environment. Other inputs, such as nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers, wreak havoc to human health, air quality and aquatic ecosystems (Moss). Moreover, pesticides are common culprits to human health effects, resistance in pests, crop losses, bird mortality and groundwater degradation (Moss). Irrigation practices promotes water pollution affecting quality, groundwater accessibility, and potable water accessibility (Moss). Activating ozone pollution, the misuse of agricultural inputs including irrigated water, pesticides and common fertilizers like nitrogen & phosphorus can cause further damage to ecosystems. Resources consisting of land, water, labor, energy and agricultural inputs (fertilizers, pesticides and fungicides) to produce wasted food are squandered as well, unwillingly inviting resource scarcity and negative environmental externalities. food production utilizes the following: 50% of land, 30% of all energy resources, and 80% of all freshwater (Gunders). This alarming amount of wasted food is not only associated with socioeconomic implications but it also depletes natural resources significantly.Īccording to Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC), U.S. Hypothetically speaking, the diversion of 93,000 tons of wasted food could create 322 million meals for people in need and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 714,000 tons (ReFED). Conversely, 42 million Americans including 13 million children are facing food insecurity and hunger daily (FAO). Specifically, in the U.S., about 40 percent of food goes uneaten annually which equates to 133 billion pounds with an USD value $161 billion (USDA, n.d.). leading in food waste and overall wastage than any other country in the world (FAO). Regarding economic losses, food waste is equivalent to $310 billion in developing countries and $680 billion in industrialized countries with the U.S. On a global scale, 1.3 billion tons of food production meant for human consumption gets lost or wasted annually (FAO). Their defense continues to get more stout, but they continue to fall in the offensive rankings when it comes to efficiency. While Texas A&M is an offense-first ball club that struggles on the defensive end, Florida is the exact opposite. He has also sprinkled in 10 assists during his three-game run of quality basketball, something that’s also huge for a Florida offense that needs any playmaking they can get. Returner Myreon Jones is quietly playing the best basketball of his season going 7-14 from the three-point line in his last three games after playing 13 minutes against Texas A&M and being largely ineffective. While Trey Bonham has struggled, it has come with the rise of a different guard. Considering his effectiveness against Texas A&M the first time around he could see his number called again, but perhaps more likely the Gators could try out some different lineups particularly to try and defend the slashing backcourt of the Aggies. In Florida’s last three games he has played 12, 8, and 8 minutes, and while he started in each of those contests he was pulled quickly and seemed to be a bit of an afterthought who wasn’t a part of the game plan. He also played 33 minutes in that game, and that has changed drastically since that night. In the early matchup he was Florida’s leading scorer pouring in 21 points and 4 assists on a night where the Gators couldn’t get much going offensively and needed him to create on his own late in shot clocks. Something that could be very different between the first matchup of the season and this one is the role of guard Trey Bonham. Castleton is coming off a game against Missouri where was excellent as a passer (6 assists) and he’ll once again need to use that vision against a Texas A&M squad that’s going to send double teams to try to confuse and frustrate him. Going back to last year head coach Buzz Williams had an effective scheme to limit low post touches for Castleton and the Gators will have to enter Wednesday’s game with a plan of how to get him the precious touches on the inside that he has been so effective with. Marble also played quality defense on Colin Castleton who was able to score 14 points, but he turned the ball over 6 times on his way to doing so. In terms of frontcourt production it was Julius Marble who had his way, also contributing 17 points. Tyrece Radford and Wade Taylor both had 17 points a piece in the back court and how the Gators choose to guard these two players will be a key storyline entering Wednesday’s game. The Gators were able to largely keep their offense in check in the season’s first matchup but when it came down to clutch time the Aggies had players capable of getting key buckets and that was one of the key differences. While they’ve improved in all areas, the strength of the team is clear–it’s putting the ball in the hoop. Now, they’re up to 47th in KenPom, ranking 28th in offense and 86th in defense. Going into that matchup the Aggies were 73rd in KenPom, including 44th in offensive efficiency and 112th in defensive efficiency. Where Texas A&M is ranked nationally has changed since two weeks ago in the first matchup. Cook, stirring frequently, until soft and lightly golden, 3 to 5 minutes. Add the onion, remaining 1 teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon of pepper. Step 3 In the same skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of sun-dried tomato oil over medium heat. And the chicken and cook until lightly golden, 3 to 4 minutes. In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of sun-dried tomato oil over medium-high heat. While the sauce is cooking, drop some linguine into boiling water.
